Welcome

Murrieta Recreation Foundation is working to develop the Murrieta Sports Village, a regional sports and recreation destination for Southwest Riverside County.


The vision combines ice sports, outdoor fields, training, tournaments, community programming, and events for local athletes and families.

Who We Are

Our History

The Foundation was formed by local community members who recognized a significant gap in ice access across Southwest Riverside County. What began as an effort to bring a permanent ice facility to the region has grown into the broader Murrieta Sports Village vision.


We are working to create a collaborative development approach that expands youth sports, recreation, regional competition, and long term community benefit.

Our Mission

Our mission is to expand access to youth sports, recreation, and community programming across Southwest Riverside County through high quality regional facilities and partnerships.

Through the Murrieta Sports Village, we are working to create opportunities for ice sports, field sports, tournaments, community programs, and regional events.

Why This Matters

Southwest Riverside County continues to grow, along with demand for quality youth sports and recreation opportunities.


The Murrieta Sports Village would expand access to ice and field sports while creating opportunities for tournaments, training, community programming, and regional events. Visiting athletes and families could also support local hotels, restaurants, and businesses.

Project Vision

Development Process

The project is currently in planning and partnership discussions. The preliminary development pathway includes site evaluation, feasibility analysis, funding coordination and community engagement as the initiative advances.

Community Vision

These concepts illustrate the vision for the Murrieta Sports Village and how the project could support youth sports, regional competition, community recreation, and economic activity. Final programming, design, and site selection remain subject to development review.

Partnerships & Advisory

We are working with experienced professionals across sports facility development, municipal finance and public-private partnership structuring, architecture and construction feasibility, ice facility engineering and operations, youth sports programming, and regional economic development.
